9am: Akshay and I decide to take the van out for a quick spin. Need to get comfortable with the size and controls given that we are gonna drive the beast back over 2500 miles from Vegas to Philly. We manage to avoid hitting the trash cans in the parking lot

11am: We head out for breakfast at the local Waffle House. Neha realizes that prices are half of what they are in New York and decides to order twice the usual portion. Obviously watching her weight is not an issue after getting married

1pm: Akshay wants to be the lead driver today. Seems to be in a hurry to get to Myrtle Beach and is doing almost 90mph on a 65 road. Dhirajis keeping a check on the snowstorm behind us. We managed to get out of NY in the nick of time - NY received between 18-24 inches of snow yesterday, the highest in recorded history

4pm: My turn at the wheels now. Heart rate and blood pressure in the backseat doubles. Manage to get everyone and the car to South Carolina in one piece

6pm: Its dark and we are taking the inner roads now. Dhiraj takes over again.

7pm: We come around an exit. Dhiraj slows down as we round the curve. Flashing lights approach. Cop pulls us over for 'speeding'. Apparently we were doing 40 in a 25 zone, which seems impossible given that we had just slowed down for a 'Stop' sign and the Chrysler Town and Country MiniVan is not really known for doing 0-40 in 3.2s. Anyway, we get hit with a speeding ticket! for being in a van thats too slow in a place that doesnt have speed signs at a time when we were not speeding. Its official, we hate South Carolina.

10pm: We finally find a place to have dinner by the beach. Our server is named Courtney. We debate for 5 mins whether its a name more suited for a guy or a girl. The food shuts us up quickly. Sanak and Neha agree that they are now even since Sanak didnt make the trip to India for her wedding, and in turn "Neha didnt say me hie" when Sanak met her in NY. Now we know why Neha failed her Negotiations class and Sanak, his English exams.

11pm: We find a great deal at the Compass Oceanfront Resort for the night. Oceanfront view, penthouse suite, 3 bedrooms with a living area, kitchenette and a private balcony. Not bad for ~$100/ night. Time to kick back, and get some drinks and chips while watching a movie

2am: Lights off
