June 2009 Leaving on (another) jet plane.....

After packing Izzy off to DogBoys Dog Ranch for her summer camp, we flew from Austin into Atlanta where Grandpa John greeted us and drove us back to Savannah Lakes (McCormick, SC). He and Grandma Mary live in a lovely house in a very peaceful setting of lob lolly pines on a quiet lake. We watched tiny hummingbirds, colorful goldfinches and a large woodpecker eat from the many feeders outside on their deck. Some geese and goslings live on the lake and a small fox lives in their woods.

It was so nice not having to BE anywhere. We were quite active -- Jack and Michael went to the driving range and golf courses with Grandpa; David took long walks in very high humidity and Maria attended two aqua-cise classes with the senior community- very fun! In addition, we enjoyed yummy meals together (we are going to try to continue this novel method of dining) and had tons of fun driving the golf cart and the boat. Wow!
