We stayed 2 nights at Sesquicentennial State Park in Columbia, SC. One of the days we went into town and walked in the downtown district, strolled around part of University of South Carolina, walked along the Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park, walked through downtown Finlay Park, and had a delicious lunch at Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli.

A 14 acre park that opened in 1991 in downtown Columbia. Once a popular spot for families it is now the home of the city's largest homeless population. There are plans to revitalize the park, but no evidence that work has begun.

There is a lovely waterfall that cascades to the park's lake. Unfortunately, it has been shut down for over 2 years in need of repairs. You can tell this was a lovely park in its prime.

There was a very nice walking and biking path that crossed the water. There were many individuals, couples, and families enjoying the path.
