Speak Australian!

My gosh it gets you a long way here in southern America!

Was onsite in very very country american town (Lenoir in North Carolina) and you name it, the drillers, the on-site client contact, the guy at the hotel, the lady serving me at the restraunt.......a simple 'Gday' greeting was all it took for a huge smile to light up all of their faces and a fascination as to where the hell i i had come from where such strange sounds were considered speaking English!

Speaking of the strange and the silly here are some of the day to day differences i see here in the grand old US of A that when i see them i think man i got to tell people at home about this:

In south carolina at least you only have one license plate on the back of your car;

THe speed limit is a guide - its pretty much given you have 10-15 miles an hour leeway depending on the state your in, although take note towards the end of the month the police need to fill their monthly quota for fines so stick to 5-6 miles an hour in the latter stages of the month just to be safe;

When it rains dont drive - there are always car accidents;

All food is either deep fried or suguar is added - hectic;

Beer is about $10-12 foir a 12 pack! Happy days;

The toilet bowls are full of water, if the country switched to the half flush ones there would not be a global water shortage;

Speak Australian while here........cant emphasise that enough;

Obesity was invented here, its sad seeing 5-6 year olds who are alomst twice as heavy as me;

You can drink when you are 21 but you can smoke when you are 18.....guess what the 18-21 yr old group do.....idiots;

You think a westfields is big.....you havnt seen anything....these guys have more and bullshit large retail parks.....thats right as in industrial parks they are so HUUUUUUUUUGE;

You can subscribe to 9 porn channels on tv (so im told) but any nudity or swearing (bum, idiot are obvioulsy swear words) is either blanked out or horribly dubbed.....frenzal would have a tough time here thats for sure ;

All Australians abviously drink fosters, at least thats what Americans think;

My first Halloween
