Ruth and I down at harbour in Boston

Hello Everyone

Thank you for travelling with us,have been away with Ruth and David to Boston and Rhode Island Newport,we had a fabulous few days away,arrived in Boston in the evening,dumped our stuff at accomodation and went down to the Harbour to spend the evening having a meal and refreshments.

Next morning went to harbour again to take photos and more refreshments,we just missed the the protest rally that was held later in day,which was a relief to us.

We then travelled to Rhode Island,on the way we stopped at a cafe where one of Ruth and Davids friends was playing the piano and singing He was brilliant,it was all for charity.

The Next day we went to see ll the Newport mansions and went on a audio tour to the house called the Breakers built in 1895,the Breakers mansion is a surviving jewel of the New York Central Railway fortune,making a statement about the global sensibilities of the Vanderbilt family.

The 70 room Summer estate of Cornelius Vanderbilt 11 includes a two and a half story high great Hall and a morning room,adorned with

Platinum leaf wall panels.its interiors feature rare marble,alabaster

and gilded walls throughout. It's like stepping into another world!!!!

We really enjoyed Newport down at the harbour it was very hot day,it was interesting to see the place of the Americas Cup,so many boats,huge ones,we sat ate lunch overlooking the water,I was in heaven!!!

We are back in Connecticut now ,and end of week Kevin and I go to New York,where we takie a 3night and 4 day tour to Philadelphia,

Washington DC,and Niagra Falls. And then come back to Connecticut for a few days,before we head home.
