OK, so we got to stay in Portland until the obligatory 24 hrs from arriving had passed and we could collect our moho.
10 things I learnt about Portland
1. It's known as the Rose city for its famous Rose test Gardens
2. Cannabis is legal here and sold widely in stores
3. Its public transport runs on renewable energy
4. Its roads are set up for cyclists, with cycle lanes as wide as car lanes
5. It has the biggest book shop in the world, Powells
6. The food is amazing
7. You can wait in a queue for an hour to buy a Voodoo doughnut, we didn't
8. It's looked over by the magnificent Mount Hood
9. It is covered in graffiti
10. It's homeless are paid to stay living on the streets.
As much as we love cities, we love being outdoors more. We headed for Historic Colombia River Highway scenic byway.
We went chasing Waterfalls, Latourell, Wahkeena, Multnomah and Horsetail falls.
