the first blue starfish i've seen Lets continue shall we !! lets see, remember Na the hotel's transport driver ?? We gotten to know him a little bit more as days goes by. Turns out he's been coaching a Rugby team of his own, and he invited us to come and watch his team play and we did. O..goodness what a game it was, they kicked, they wrestled, and they throw the ball as well as their team. For a first timer spectator, we're not sure how they scored or the rules of the game, so we cheered when others cheered and yelp when something went wrong. Anyway, on one of the junior league we noticed some hostility going on and the result of that conflict was, the team member who gotten into fight had to seat by the goal for a period of time as a penalty. We thought it was interesting and make sense too, I should say.
Another nice day on the second week is finally here and we ready to take more pictures of the aquatic creatures. We went snorkeling at the Fruits of Rarotongga from the advised of this funny and friendly waitress we met at Cafe Salsa in downtown. She

purple coral was so nice and it was a one interesting evening having her as our waitress, but we enjoyed her hospitality. Ok back to snorkeling, well we brought some bread to feed the fish and being the protective reefs, no one can fish at fruits of rarotongga. Oh boy, so I broke a piece of bread and hand feed those fish and big mistake. Those ferocious fishes bit my finger and broke the skin, so my poor finger bleed and got me worried thinking if this fish were piranha I'll be so much in trouble. Fortunately tho, they were just normal fish and they only wants the bread. Fyuihh....I could have lost a finger, those fishes were quite big too. We had fun tho and we stop by Little Polynesian to grab a bite to eat. My shoulder and legs were sore from swimming, having not been using those muscle in a while ouchh... but I'll live hahaha....
So, since the sun is up we drove in our hired Convertible Scarlet Nissan Cabriolet with the top down. Since the island do not required us to wear seat belt ( but highly recommended ) I rode and stood up on the

vibrant fish, i wish i know its name passenger seat and just having a ball, and people were staring coz apparently its not very common. But I was on vacation and did not care if they were staring, it was fun having my hair blown by the wind. I felt carefree just in that moment. About halfway to our hotel, we saw who we thought to be a girl from behind trying to hitch a ride, we happen to be in a "giving a ride mood" so we took her in. Ooops... turns out she was a He, but since we already said ok we went ahead and gave him a ride anyway. He was pleasant and polite, he said he just hitched a boat ride from New Zealand and found himself a sailor girlfriend form Germany. He's in his 20's and been traveling through The South Pacific and Asia by a way of hitching a boat ride as much as he can freely ( whatever that means ) Bob thinks he was a 'gigolo' and I giggled and unsure about what to make of that, so i leave it at that. So, we got him to where he stayed for the time being and he offered us to stop by for a beer, and we politely decline and went back to our hotel.
Our last night we spent it having dinner at the Sailor's Club Restaurant, overlooking the lagoon and two tiny island nestle on the west and east side of the waves breaker. It was perfect spot to eat and watched the ocean. I had two glasses of Pinnot Grigoi form New Zealand and it was sweet and dry, just the way I like it, Bob had linguine and double shot espresso. We were so stuffed from the big portion and reasonably priced food, we left no room for dessert. So, we went back to our place and took a walk to see the ice cream girl at the nearby store and have ice cream instead. We told her it was our last night and that we will miss coming to get ice cream and see her and her friends. So, we took picture of her which she wasn't sure at first, but I was finally able to talk her into it. Then we meet up with the group of kiwis we come to know and fond of .aka. "the sexy six" hahaha...they name themselves that while on the island LOL. We had our last gathering and talked some more and joked some more and then its time for the bus to take us to the airport. We said our goodbyes and hugs and then its time to leave and we both sad and don't want to leave.
Our flight was at 11:50 pm and we been up for 14hours now waiting for the flight to board. We had to pay 50NZ$ to get out of the island. We were stuck seating by the gate, next to annoying talk so much LA girl who talk too much, instead of having conversation with her friends, she talk for them. Arrrgghhh....by then the wine started to kicked in and I almost lost it and was gonna tell her to shut it, fortunately Bob knew what was going on and tried to settle me down LOL. Man, I've not been annoyed by someone in a long time and I was ready to shout too for crying out loud.
Nine hours later LAX we arrived and it was sunnyyyyyy....and warm, and super busy and super humongous airport with 7 terminals and of course that's where we need to be to catch our United connection to PDX. We had to take the shuttle and walked a good half a mile to get to the shuttle's halt. Tried to get an earlier flight home and standby, but only one seat left so we were stuck with a 9pm flight. So, we were stuck in LAX for 8hours and we were tired man. By then its been almost 30hours we are up and going. We had dinner at the cafe right by our gate and took a little bit of nap and played some game on our Nintendo Ds and read a book and so on to keep us occupied.
Just 15 minutes before our flight was supposed to board, strange thing happen and we said 'OMG this is not happening, not another delayed please...we want to go home nowwww....' Anyway, I'll tell you what happen. So, the plane leaving for Albuquerque, NM is boarding and the plane was in the same gate as ours. We saw about 9 Police hovering around the gate, its quite a scene. The plane boarded everyone going to New Mexico are all inside, then five minutes after, all the Policeman and woman aboard the plane as well. Everyone was panicking and tense, thinking some terrorist is gonna pirated this flight along with other negatives thought. Ten minutes after, the Police found who they were looking for and the plane was completely de-boarded, and everyone got out of the plane. But that's it, no announcement or heads up as to what just happened, how strange is that !!! It gave me a stomach ache and no explanation whatsoever. Then it was time to board our flight, it was the same plane its just that it goes to Portland instead of Albaqurqe. But we were so tired we did not care of what just happen anymore. We got in and the plane arise and the sky was clear and we got to see all the lights on the city and the stars and the moon and we got home safe and sound.
Now we are back to reality and responsibilities, and our babies were so happy to see us and so are we to see them, and then we once again content with what we have here for now. Next adventour is around the corner hopefully...and we have yet another year to figure out where to next...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^ THE END ^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
p.s. this note is for me to remind myself of how nice it is to get away and be a kid again
and also of the new place and connecting with new people, plus its also good for me brain.
