January 2 2014 to March 3 2014. The trip in pictures. It was kind of unusual not writing a blog this year. There were a number of reasons; it ended up being a good decision as this year I had mega trouble with getting a good wifi signal with any regularity. The Infamous Tillicum

on the left, with his grandson, Trua. Tillicum is 34 years old. He is highly recognizeable due to his floppy dorsal fin.


The main tank with show stadium is under renovations. We were able to sit and watch the whales for as long as we wanted in their pen. They did a brief training session for us.


Tillicum is still being used to breed.


That fin you can see there is about 6 feet in diameter.

They would not tell us what they were doing. But, since we were in the 'nursery' area, we suspect they were checking for pregnancy.

At Thousand Trails, Orlando, which is really in Clermont, with Ginnie's car in front.

This next group of pictures was taken at DisneyWorld. Ginnie and I parked at the Contemporary one day and took every mode of free transportation we could find; ferry, launch, monorail, bus. This pic is in the lobby of The Contemporary
