Three weeks ago we were wondering if we might fit in a couple of side trips out of New York. This establishment started trading in 1854. It is just a few streets away from our apartment. We asked for two and got four!

Built on the site of the original Stuyvesant chapel. It has vaults holding the remains of six generations of this family. It now operates as a performing arts centre as well as a church.
