The Philosopher I chose was Tupac Amaru Shakur. He was born on June 16, 1971. Tupac Shakur died on September 7, 1996 after attending a Mike Tyson boxing match. He was shot and died from internal bleeding. Fifteen years after his death, he is still very influential. Tupac sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2010 making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Like other great philosophers, Tupac Shakur changed the way people looked at the world. Tupac inspired many people around the world. Tupac’s lyrics were often about a set of experiences that were occurring in his life or in Africa. Many people could relate to the experiences.Tupac’s music had themes of social inequality and injustice, unbridled aggression, compassion, playfulness. A lot of people respected to Tupac because he had so many sides. Unlike other people, Tupac was not afraid to write about his vulnerabilities. To many, Tupac is a philosopher because he changed many views.
