The day after Bastille Day for us started off lazily since we decided to have a quiet restful morning. But come midday we were ready to head down to 60th to celebrate what was billed as "Bastille Day on 60th St" - why it was celebrated a day late I'm not sure although maybe it was easier traffic wise as from Fifth to Lexington Avenues were closed off. Anyway it was great fun.

Entertainment, lots of stalls selling French food, travel etc plus a cheese, wine and cocktail tasting in an auditorium in the Alliance Francaise building. So we paid our $20 each and went into the fray. And it was a bit like a battle to get to the front of the queue for a plateful of French cheese! Kev & I enjoyed not only beautiful cheeses, red and white French wines but a most delectable and rather 'moreish' cocktail. But best of all we met some new best friends to discuss how we could save the world and all those important questions, the answers to which always seem so much clearer once you've had a drop or two! Serious though we could be when the mood took us we had some great laughs too. Sorry we couldn't accept the dinner invitation Quinn & David - maybe next time!

As I write this we are now babysitting Grace & Rupert while Kerrii & Seb go out to paint the town red.
