Woke up this morning with a spotty rash on both sides of my face. Have no idea what it is. Doesn’t itch, sting or hurt. (Picture included for your viewing pleasure.) If you know what it is, let me know.
Finished the Texas Panhandle today. Nothing but small towns with abandoned buildings and motel signs. Stopped in Adrian, TX at the Midpoint Café for photo op and a piece of “Ugly Crust” Blueberry Pie.
Finally into New Mexico. Tucumcari , here we come! More old motel signs, etc. A lot of the 66 in this part of the state is dirt or gravel and not very good and not recommended for RVs, so we stayed on I-40 and I-25 for quite a while. We took the Pre 1937 route through Santa Fe.
One forgets how much open space there is in the country. It is a wonder to see. Nice to be away from urban sprawl for awhile. Beautiful country!!
From Santa Fe we are making a detour to Colorado to visit friends. We are now on State Route 285 for the night.
