Memorial weekend at the Jersey Shore always seems to be interesting in our culture. Many Veterans observe this weekend by attending ceremonies, reflecting on the past and the importance of this day to America. Taking a break and having a quick conversation with a Veteran, who was particpating in a coin drop, explained to me; this weekend always makes him happy because seeing Americans have the freedom and ability to enjoy themselves along the shore or any where in our great country every year gives him a better understanding of why Veterans and current service members are so important. Our culture would not be what it is, if were not for the Veterans and our miltary as far as freedom and the opportunities we all have in America, this weekend sometimes is taken for granted by many people. After my quick consverastion, it had me thinking the rest of the day and wondered if all these people around me knew what this past week was all about.
