Pahrump is about one hour and a half away from Beatty, NV, and about an hour away from Las Vegas. It is a small town that called attention on account of the one winery... which actually turned out to be two, but it provided entertainment for most of a day. There are casinos, one of them includes bowling and other family entertainment. Unlike Beatty, Pahrump has a McDs, an Albertsons, a CVS, a Panda Express, a Walmart... you get my drift... all the solutions for our first-world-problems.

They make wines out of grapes in their own vineyards, as well as from other places in California. They have a great gift shop! The tasting of seven wines is free of charge. The bottles to take home are affordable.

Free. Explains the history of the town, according to the attendant, originally a group of people on their way to California who found a nice enough place and called their trip off. The museum includes several walk-in buildings, including homes, a school, a miner's shed, and more.

I just found this impressive. Miners would wear this to survive the cold.

To see a tree that would have been alive during Shakespeare's time floors me.

This sculpture is not alive yet hurt my head good... outside the Pahrump Museum.
