Today we decided to have a sleep in and then spend the day at the pool seeing as though we had missed out doing that yest cos of the weather! So we did just that. El spoke to her mum for a while cos it was her birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEV!  and we did a whole lot of nothing lazying by the pool for a while. It’s a tough life!  We decided we’d earned it after hours of walking the day before! The only thing was it was so intensely hot that we didn’t actually last that long. But we did discover that Las Vegas does not infact cater for anyone that wants anything remotely healthy for a meal or snack! After searching for places we ended up both having yet another burger for a late lunch, spent a bit longer in the pool and then headed upstairs to get ready for our night! We got spruced up and boarded the bus once again for the strip, this time having plenty of time, and got of at the Mirage! We even had time to enjoy our 2 for 1 drinks at the bar there, then headed to the theatre

for The Beatles – Cirque de Soleil show! It was seriously cool!! Way more dancing and singing than O and one of their regular shows but it was once again all so clever and well choreographed and we loved every moment of it! We were sitting next to a kiwi guy! The only kiwi we have seen on our travels to date and it seemed crazy to hear our own accent on anyone but ourselves! We realised just how different we sound to all the Americans! Still don’t think we sound English though no matter how much they tell us!

After the show we headed to The Venetian for dinner as we decided to splash out and we got told that if we ate dinner there we’d get in free to their nightclub which was supposedly really cool. So we got into this extremely flash and classy asian restaurant and got put at the sushi bar. We ordered at our food, looked longingly at our cocktail menu which was very expensive and decided about drinks at dinner and thought wed save that for later! We started eating with chopsticks – fyi we both are not particularly skilled at doing

so, and we both had rice dishes! And decided we were not going to give up and we would eat the entire thing with chopsticks! It took a very long time and our meals were very cold by the end but we both did it and very extremely proud of ourselves!! Meanwhile the guy next to us has offered to buy us cocktails. Hesitantly we agreed – he seemed nice! And then we got chatting. He was a doctor from New York who was in Vegas on business and told us everywhere to visit in New York and in Vegas, bought us another cocktail, talked some more and finished up the evening by buying our dinner for us! Pretty sweet if you ask me!! He was lovely, he headed to bed and told us where we might wanna go out! Oh i forgot to mention our dessert! AMAZING! A giant fortune cookie filled with white and milk choc mousse with fresh fruit! See pic! And it had one fortune each in it! Very cool fortunes too!

So we followed advice and tried 2 bars out, both of which weren’t nightclubs on a Monday. The streets were dead which we were super surprised about! We thought every night in vegas was party night but obviously not Monday! We ended up getting VIP passes to like the only club open on a Monday back at the Mirage. It was crazy! And as we would have expected a vegas nightclub to be. Drinks were ridiculously expensive so we had one, danced and then headed home about 2am. Great night had by us both!
