[youtube=ZjX4IeMsv4o]Most of you will know that we got married a few weeks ago in Las Vegas - thanks very much to all of you who sent us kind messages - we were touched by them indeed.

We didn't manage to do any more blogs during the USA secton of our trip because we struggled to find internet stations - so many apologies for not replying to your emails! The USA has pretty much moved on from the internet cafe and it's all WIFI zones now which is great if you have a laptop with you but not so great if not. We got back into the UK yesterday morning (6am Tuesday 17th) and these last few blog pages are being written at 3am (wide awake - jet lag and all that!) on a rainy Lancashire morning in the (senior) Thompson residence.

We had an absolutely flipping right good time of it in Las Vegas. No sooner had we landed we were in the company of friends and family and so began a good few days of partying. Vegas had a great atmosphere about it as it was packed with people away on a bank holiday weekend (memorial weekend) -

millions of people were there to enjoy the sights and buzz of the neon capital of the world. We spent a few days enjoying the sights of the famous strip - New York New York, Venetian, Paris, Bellagio, Luxor and Caesars to name a few. It was great to be amongst our nearest and dearest after not having seen anyone in six months.

After a few days of enjoyment it was time for the big do - our wedding. It was fab, we enjoyed it a lot and it went off perfect-a-mundo. For starters it was a perfect day - warm (without being too warm) and sunny with blue skies and all that. Everyone involved looked perfectly dashing - especially the washed and scrubbed Steve and even more especially the gorgeous bride Janine. We did the do in a beautiful outside garden to the background music of a violin. Reverend Brian did a great service - really nice words - and in a few short but lovely minutes we were both transformed into a married couple - Mr & Mrs T. After the wedding we got down to some serious eating and drinking during our private reception in one

of the Palace towers - food, beer and some very nice speeches. The fun didn’t stop there though for our party then moved into what was quite possibly the biggest limo ever! - as pretty much all 25 of us climbed into our great big shiny machine for a pumping music assisted spin up and down the famous Las Vegas Boulevard (said strip). And if that wasn’t enough we then partied hard into the early hours in Cleopatra’s Barge (one of the nightclubs in Caesars) - oh yeah - there was some serious shapes being cut on that dance floor - Janine still wearing her wedding dress! Seeing Janine doing some serious Hammer Time (surely one of MC Hammers greatest hits) on an indoor barge and wearing a wedding dress was a memory indeed. We met a couple of pirates on the barge who had also just got married (Mr Pirate was from Dublin whilst his new pirate missus was Canadian) - they had pirate wedding guests with them too!

Las Vegas is a lot of different things to a lot of different people but for us it’s always going to be a special place - a place full

of energy, full of grand sites and people wanting to (and having) a grand old time of it. We had a mega time and already we can’t wait to go back and party some more. Thanks again to all of you who came to the wedding - you helped us make it a mega day - and thanks again to all of our friends and family who sent us loads of super messages. Hope you enjoy the photo’s……….
