Ok, it's been a couple of days, but we needed the rest from all the driving. We left you in Reno for our drive to Vegas. The weather changed miraculously as we left Reno, it went from being wet and cloudy to a horrific storm just outside Tonopah (another weird town!) and then to fabulous blue skies and sunshine as we approached Vegas. We took a diversion onto the Extraterrestrial Highway and stopped for photos at Rachel in NV. Apparently there have been the most UFO sightings here, although I suspect that it's actually aircraft that the US Airforce have in development at the nearby Nellis Base. There doesn't look like there's much around Rachel and it's surrounding areas, but if you look really carefully there are huge bunkers everywhere and lots of rail road crossings with gates! The drive is long and we finally arrive around 4pm. It's dinner and an early night tonight so photos of Vegas, enjoy the ET highway and lovely Rachel.
