Day 1 - Monday, June 27, 2016

Spokane, WA to Missoula, MT to Bozeman, MT

So if we had hoped to leave our home at 8am we of course left at 10. Pretty normal. On our way out Jaedon got to say goodbye to one of his best friends, Landen, who’s moving to Bremerton, WA in a week. We’ll miss them!

Our drive to Missoula was pretty smooth with gorgeous weather. We enjoyed ice cream cones, a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, and one bear claw from Wheat Montana Bakery and then it was J.’s turn to drive! He did awesome! Thank you, Lord Jesus! I don’t think I did as well with the idea of having him drive all of us in the motorhome - baby steps I’m sure. How do you explain to a 16 year old boy that just because the speed limit sign says “80 mph” doesn’t mean we have to go that fast ourselves. 😊

In Bozeman our dear friends, Jeremy and Sarah Mitchell, met us at a park with their growing family. It was a delight to spend the evening with them and their 10

Who could resist these? Not us!
month old Labradoodle puppy, Tuck - so cute!

We wrapped up our first day pulling into Walmart for the night and it wasn’t too bad. I decided that I’m not messing with blocks and leveling out the rig - that’s Geoff’s expertise and I need to simplify where I can - lots of stress doing the first 5 days without him but God is with us!

Geoff and I caught up about the day’s adventures and we're sending him all our love. It’ll be great to be all together on Friday! We figured we’re driving about ~400 miles each day in 7-8 hours. WHEW! We can do it! Sara Groves has a song titled "Past the Wishing" - one verse says, "By the grace of God I'm doing!" Amen!
