The Rivertown Market on Wabasa is a very well stocked Market/deli.
Winter Carnival trip – Day 5 - Today was very cold and I have seen all I wanted to see in St Paul so I invested the day in doing homework on some possible future trips and getting prepared to depart tomorrow. It seems like every time I get thing set up the way I like and get my feet on the ground it’s time to leave. I made a short excursion out into the cold to get my Powerball Lotto ticket at “The Red Sea” convenience store on Wabasa St. and to eat at a hamburger place also on Wabasa called “American Burger”. I had a Greek Vinaigrette salad which was very good and then a burger with American and Monterrey Jack cheese with mushrooms which was delicious. Of course I didn’t finish either dish but just ate part of them; they were too much. I then walked up Wabasha in some very cold weather to the “Rivertown Market” which was a well-stocked market/deli for downtown having all I required. I got a half gallon of milk and some yogurt for later tonight as well as for breakfast in the morning. Then I walked back to the hotel using the connecting heated skyways between the buildings. I invested the rest of the day in catching up on my blogs and facebook and gathering up everything that I didn’t need tonight or tomorrow morning and putting it in my suitcase and travel bag. So I guess that’s about it on this trip. Tomorrow I will take that big hop home. I like to travel but I always love going home afterwards.

I have taken several trips while on vacations around the US and to Europe while I was working but now can travel full time if I wish. Texas in my home base and between trips I enjoy my time there visiting family and enjoying the many great locations Texas has. But unfortunately Texas is just too darn hot and humid most of the year. So I am looking for a new home base ... full info

The Skyway is very handy on a cold day for keeping out of the cold when you go somewhere.
