Old State House

Hey finally photos!! only took me long enough to figure out how to get them on here. Please go back a couple of entries and have a look as ive divided the photos of New York between the last two. So arrived in Boston on Mon 25th, on the Fungwa Bus from Chinatown, Ny only $15 so a bargain. Took 4 hours but seemed to be here in no time. Have to ditch some stuff from this backpack of mine, my back was killing me by the time i got to the hostel, after two subway rides and a lot of walking, so ill be leaving some stuff behind in Boston. Dont ask me what though!!
My first impressions of Boston were good, probably because i came from New York!! You can walk down the street without people banging into you every two seconds for a start! You can tell its very studenty, Boston College is close by, so much more easy going i think. Its easier to talk to people here and you dont feel as if you are being a pest if you ask 100 questions. Im staying in another Hostelling International, same as NY but its

a lot smaller and cosier. In the hostel in New York all the staff wore uniforms with name badges, here all the staff wear their own clothes.
The big difference here is the heat, its sooo hot here, much warmer than NY, probably because there's not as many skyscrapers :-) You can see the sunset here whereas in Ny it dissappears behind the buildings about 4ish. Ive got sunburn though, my face looks as if ive had a face peel or something and thats me wearing factor30!
Walked to the very famous Freedom Trail, went to City Hall, Old State House, old churches etc. Lots of old buildings here with a lot of history. Seen the balcony where the Declaration of Independence was first read and where Quenn Elizabeth II stood exactly two hundred years later. Went to the New England Aquarium which was great. It has a giant indoor tank that goes right up the centre of the building stretching over 3 floors. I took some pics for you all to see.
Been lying out in Boston Common a while every day writing postcards and stuff. Think my savings are all gonna go on the internet, phone

Two of the girls im sharing with here are crazy Irish girls! They are mental, they have holdalls that you could fit grown men into! Never seen anything like them and they are supposed to be travelling for only 3 months! Theyhave already been to New York but say they dont think they can go anywhere else cos of the size of their luggage! I told them they are mental, that they should just put their luggage into storage or something. Honestly you should see the stuff they have in there - family size bottle shampoo, 2 big tins of satin care for shaving your legs. Thats just the stuff ive seen! They also have a 3 litre, yes 3, bottle of smirnoff vodka with them wrapped up in a towel. We had a few sneaky ones last night cos the hostel is alcohol free, they are quite strict about it. One of them talks in her sleep, last night she woke me up screaming the place down, shouting for Sharon, who apparently is her sister back home. They sleep all day and go out drinking at midnight so i hardly ever see them. They were in

New York for 4 weeks before they came here and they said they have never even seen the Empire State Building cos they just spent the entire time boozing. Im sure they could do that back in Ireland but hey, whatever floats their boat! Apparently there are 238 Irish bars in Boston so they have plenty to choose from. :-)
Going to Cheers Bar today for lunch so ill let you know how that goes, see if it is the same as in the TV programme, ill take some more pics then and put them on x

Holdalls that you can fit grown men in? Should've got 1 of those and taken Raymy with you! I s'pose not tho, you'd need another one the same size for his suncream/aftersun/natural yogurt!! Glad you're havin' a ball kid, take lots of care and have lots more fun. And don't waste all your hard-earned keeping us updated. A girl's gotta eat! Awrabest, Woz.
