Good to write again!

Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming, we enjoy reading them. It is July 24th and this is the first we have had internet access since my sisters Linda’s house.

We went from Ohio to Greencastle PA to visit my sister Linda, Great to see her and their family.

From there, we visited the C&O Cannel in Maryland and my childhood playground, the Conococheague creek.

Then we went north to Niagara Falls and over to Mikes Cabin in Sackets Harbor, New York. A special thanks to Mike Crook for allowing us to stay, it was a beautiful area on Lake Ontario.

We then went on to Maine to Acadia National park and saw Carol’s Niece Julie and her husband Matt.

We stayed 4 nights in Maine, it is a great state and it was warm there.

We then headed south to New York City. We rode the Staten Island Ferry, past the Statue of Liberty and on to Manhattan. We went to China town, Central Park, Times Square and rode the subway. Carol liked New York City.

From there we went south to Washington DC

My Playground when I grew up in Maryland
which was hot so we did not spend much time in DC. We then moved over to the Eastern shore of Maryland and are staying at Pocomoke State Park and visited both Maryland and Virginia sides of Assateague Island where the wild ponies live.

Tomorrow July 25the we will leave and head south across the Bay Bridge tunnel and out on the outer banks of North Carolina.

We have gone from extreme cold and snowing to record highs here in Maryland.

Again thanks for keeping and the comments. Wish we had time to respond to them but we do not get much time on the internet.

Cheers!

looks fun
Hey Ron, looks like you are having fun. Hopefully I'll be able to do the same thing one day. When you get back to Charleston give me a call and I'll come have a beer with you on the boat since you never would take me out sailing before you left.

Still looking for gold
Carol, don't give up. But I don't have to tell you that your true gold is all the wonderful places you and Ron have visited. Is Edisto still on your map? We miss you guys.

Wild Horses???
Ron, Are you sure those are horses? Rumor has it that yankee deer are as big as horses. They all taste like chicken anyways. Let's do lunch when you guys get back to civilization, Charleston.
