We're home!
We originally planned on 6,300 miles, then maybe about 7,000, but as you see we parked the van with a full 7,500 miles of fun on the odometer. Day 21 Hagerstown to Mar-Lu-Ridge to Baltimore, MD
Picking up the kids from camp.
Home sweet home!! 7,500 miles wow!
7,500 miles of driving over the course of 21 days is a lifetime in today's world of high speed...everything! And I loved it! We took our time and got to know more about our country, our friendship, and ourselves. I would like to thank Don for his patience, persistence, and practical suggestions (that I often ignored). I had a blast and if you get the chance to head out and explore, do it...it is well worth the trip!
Thanks for riding along with us!! Maybe next year we will head south or north....way north....Don saw a trip to the North Pole...hmmm....not sure if I'm up for that much fun! Who knows?

Arctic Travel
Vae always wanted to go to the land of the caribou, and midnight sun. Not me. I think the vast numbers of mosquitoes, biting black-flies, biting horse flies, etc. would test my mettle too harshly. The drive along the north shore of the St. Lawrence to the Gaspe peninsula is very scenic, and 100% francophone. P.E.I., Halifax, Bay of Fundy, and Newfoundland, might be interesting. South Texas, Big Bend Natl. Park, Grand Canyon, and Copper Canyon, San Miguel d'Allende, and Mazatlan in Mexico would make an interesting Southern excursion (and don't forget Wolf Creek Pass, way up on the great divide)! LUB
