dinner from the seadinner from the seadinner from the sea

1st & last night's lobster feast cooked to order at the campground.
Dear Mainlanders, Tonight is our last night at Bar Harbor, Mt. Desert Island, Maine. We are so glad we spent a whole week here. Not only has it been relaxing for us, but there is so much to do. After yesterday's stormy, wet weather we woke up to sun. We hiked around on the carriage roads in Acadia and thanked J.D. Rockafeller for coming up with the idea. The leaves keep getting more and more beautiful...even poison ivy turns red. Drove into Bar Harbor to shop, get lunch on the wharf (clam chowdah for me, but Dave was needing a hamburger fix). We went to church Holy Redeemer for a 4 o'clock Mass and knelt on the hardest kneelers ever. Music was not at all like home. We came back in time to order our farewell lobster dinner. He had to cancel last night due to the rain. So, our 1st night's dinner and our last night's dinner will be LOBSTER, see accompany photo. I wish I had taken a picture of our camper surrounded by a lake of rainwater during yesterday's squall. Does a squall have to have wind? I think so...let's call it it a deluge. Timmy wouldn't jump down the steps of the camper. Dave had to put on his boots, his new sowester, and carry him to dry land. We requested another site and are now high and dry. Tomorrow...who knows which direction the winds will blow us. Good-bye from Baa-Ha-Ba. Love, DWT
