Tailgate of pretty ducks
Our limit included several blue-winged teal, a wood duck, The final day of hunting the marshes around South West Louisiana started like all the other days. "Rise and Shine" at 4:15, breakfast in the dinning room-mall area at 4:30 - 4:45 to meet your guide and hunting buddy, and from there decide what time you leave for the blinds. Some blinds are closer, so you can leave later, others are further away, and have a longer boat ride, so you leave earlier. We left at 5:00 this morning with Brady or guide. He is the same Brady that had Mark and me yesterday. Today he is going to have Thad and me.
We had a 13-15 minute boat ride again, the wind was a little colder today, but the sun is suppose to come out, which will warm up things nicely.
We finished hunting about 9:00, got back to the truck, took some pictures of the birds just because their colors were so beautiful. The blue-wing teal were very nice, as was the Wood Duck.
We enjoyed our gumbo, went upstairs took showers, and then rounded everyone up for the group picture. Hauled all our stuff down, loaded the cars, said good bye again for another safe
