Finally we are on our way west again... this time just the two of us. It was a beautiful spring day in New York, and we had clear skies through the short stretch of PA on I-90 and the eastern half of Ohio. Further west, gray skies and eventually rain by the time we got to Indiana.
We've stopped for the night near Elkhart. There are about 20 motels at this exit, and they all seem to be full or nearly so... we had to take a smoking room. I wonder why so many people spend the night here.

I thought the Ohio and Indiana turnpikes were using EZ-Pass now, but no sign of it.
