In the article " Day of the dead", it talks about indigenous people practicing rituals that represents the day of death.
They used skulls to represent death and rebirth. It is practiced to honor their loved ones. I believe that this practice is very
surprising because it talks about how death is embraced instead of it being a time of sorrow. This can connect to what we
are learning in class because it talks about religious rituals that people practice, and in class I learn a lot about different
religions and rituals that people do. Indigenous people practice the day of the dead to show respect to the people who
were close to them and to show that the people who died are still there with them, always.
