I chose the 2nd circle of hell, which was Lust. Lust is to have intense sexual desire or appetite. In the book Inferno, the punishment for being lustful is that the souls would have to continue to lay on their backs in the darkness. They were to lay on their backs because while they were committing adultery, the sin took place when they were lying down on their back. The weather continuously being windy, rainy, and stormy was also another punishment for the lustful souls. Three celebrities that I would place under this category are Kristen Stewart, Eric Benet, and Woody Allen. Kristen cheated on Robert Pattinson with the director of Twilight. Eric Benet cheated on Halle Berry because he thought that it would save their marriage. However, he admitted that he was addicted to sex, but he knew that it was wrong for him to cause trust issues in his marriage. Lastly, Woody Allen an American screenwriter, director, actor, etc. cheated on his girlfriend with her daughter. I found this disgusting because he was like a father to the young woman and she had sex with an old wrinkly man. Committing adultery is a terrible sin, and it changes the way people see a person.
