Public vs. Private Me

The public me vs. the private me. Two different people, but both the same person. The way a person lets people see him or her vs. the way that person actually is with people. The public me is the self a person lets people see, whereas the private me is the person he or she only shows to certain people. When that person is with others, he or she lets them think of them whatever they want to think because their thoughts don't really matter to him or her. However, when he or she surrounds themselves with their real friends and those they really care about, that's when they let themselves be themselves because they're with the people they trust and care about the most.
