1. According to this article, how is modern slavery different from earlier forms of slavery throughout history?

Although moder day slavery is different because its not like long ago where blacks where the slaves. Now slavery is "human traficking", where people are forced to do what their 'owner" tells them to do. A big human trafficking system is prostitution where young girls are captured and forced to sell their bodies for money. The people that are caught in human traffiquing almost never cant get out because of they are oftern threaten by their "pimp".

2. Why does this movement against human sex trafficking connect to the legacy of President Lincoln?

This movement against sex trafficking is connected to Lincoln's legacy because sex trafficking is a new form of slavery since women and children are forced to sell their bodies for money in many ocations and also because sex trafficking is becoming more common.

3. Describe the Polaris project. What do you think about this project?

The Polaris project is a national hotline that takes calls 24 hours a day in more than 170 languages from victumes of trafficking and also from people who suspect trafficking is going on in their communities.

4. Do you agree with this article – that human sex trafficking is a form of modern day slavery?

Yes, People are being forced to do work that they do not like for free and are often threaten in some way to keep those people under control.

5. In your opinion, can you think of any other examples of modern day slavery?

Modern day slavery: immigrants working for low pay in fear of being deported.
