We did have a few small sunny windows in between the heavy showers!! This was taken during one of them! Hello Bloggers,
Well we took the chance and went to stay in the north shore for a couple of nights. After our great time on the limo trip we thought it looked such a nice place to chill out for a couple of days. It rained. The whole time. Booooo!
The hostel was ok, we stayed in little cabins, kind of like the staff quarters in Dirty Dancing, made off wood and with little terrace things at the front. We where sharing with 4 blokes, one of wich we had already met in Waikiki and gone out to a bar with when we first arrived, so that was odd. The others, one swedish, one Austrian and one Brazillian where all surf mad. They live and breathe surfing up there. So, as we dont surf and it rainned the whole time, we didnt really do much. I managed to read a book in two days and Corinne read a whole heap of magazines. The lads where ok, but the chalet wasnt really that big, and i must admit it was a little more rustic than the hostel in Waikiki, so two days was enough. Really nice to try it out
Cats 1
Our ferell cats! though, and I think if the weather had been nicer it would have been lush. We went back to Sunset beach, but as there was no sun, we didnt hang about to see it set!! ha ha.
We had some ferell cats that seemed to like us though, when we got back to the challet with our shopping from the supermarket they all followed us up the lane and waited outside for some food. They didnt get any though, well, apart from the odd dorito that hit the floor, but they had to be pretty quick to beat the free range chickens that where roaming about!!
Have been out a few times now in Waikiki, the hostel here is full of cool people who are really friendly. They took us to this little bar the other night that had drinks for one dollar, thats about 50p, so as you can imagine, it got a little messy!! ha ha. The only thing is, as we are in america you HAVE to tip, so a $1 drink is fine, but you have to tip about a dollar for every drink you buy, so thats a 100% tip!! Not good for

This was Corinne's favorate, she said he had a nice face! us! But thats how it is, you kind of get scowled at if you dont tip, so its easier to just do it. We havent really eaten out that much, so it hasnt been too much of a problem, but when you only go out with $20 and have to tip for every drink you buy, it doesnt take long for that to go. Guess it makes me drink less, which cant be a bad thing! ha ha
So now we are just gearing up for our final few nights, I have no idea how i managed to fit all my stuff into my bag in the first place, but im pretty sure that it isnt going back in again now! Might have to buy another bag if things get bad, or maybe through away some older clothes! But the new bag option sounds far more appealing.
So thats all for now, pretty much going to be sunbathing and packing for the next few days, but i might go to see pearl harbour, although it can take ages to get on the ferry as the memorial is built over the sunken battleship in the middle of the habour,
Beach 1
This was the beach right accross the road from our hostel. so you have to wait for ages cos it can only take a few at a time. But apart from that its all starting to wind down, but then there is always someone to knock on our door with a beer in their hand nagging us to go out, so i expect we will!!
Speak to you all again soon, hope its not too cold back there in old blighty!! ha ha
