The Nounou Mountain ridge bears a striking resemblance to a sleeping giant. Legend states that this giant fell asleep after eating too much at a luau and has not awoken yet.

It is a small 15 ft. waterfall along Kapa'a Stream. This is one of the very few waterfalls on Kauai that can be accessed by an easy hike that is not on private property.
