Introduced to the Sunday morning congregations. Choir sang my setting of The Lord’s Prayer at two of the services. My communion responses at all three. Brunch at Harry Bissett’s - not lobster this time. Sunday afternoon by and in the pool with Stephen, Patrick and Frances. Watched some of the US Open on the all-American plasmatic. Two Georgians - Oudin and Isner - advance. Saturday was spent preparing for and watching American football. Still inexplicable, especially how everyone - everyone - in Athens loves it. Good news that old Wells friend Dave is coming to visit Athens from LA. Not so good news that my proposed Iran travel-chum may not be joining me for that trip. Set Henry Vaughan’s poem ‘Palm Sunday’ to music. Ate a ‘low country boil’ at Gnat’s Landing. A disappointing pile of shrimp, sausage and boiled potato. Actually the shrimp was good and ample.
