Sunny Tampa, Florida

Starting out with a Venti Iced Latte from Starbuck's in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International airport and from there - it's off to Madrid and Pamplona!

Hola! It's time to begin the adventure and what better way than to start writing about the trip. I am your narrarator, GypsyKing, and I will be detailing the adventures of myself and my traveling buddy, Bish. This is my first blog, yes, a newbie to the blog scene although I've read hundreds and find most of them interesting. I write for a living (in the Information Technology arena) but have no idea about 'proper blogging', keeping my tenses right, keeping it in first person, third person, whatever - and honestly, if you you know me at all you know that I really don't care - my goal is only to write as much as possible, put up as many pics as are interesting and provide color commentary that is so saturated with the excitement and thrills of coming close to dying in the streets of a foreign country with blood leaking out of us...haha...jk...I want to make you wish you were right beside us running for our lives as we stare at the burnt-copper tips of a bull weighing in at around 1,600 pounds...a sweating, angry beast who could skewer us with simply a brush of his massive head -

This guy isn't able to run quite fast enough...yes, he went to the hospital, but lived.
and he has 4 brothers right beside him along with 6 other steers to provide backup. The goal is to simply share our adventure with you so you'll buy us more drinks when we come back alive!!

It all started in a bar A little background first for all of those curious friends and innocent bystanders who heard about our adventure to Spain. Bish and I were sitting in Whiskey Park almost a year ago, when we decided to do something exciting, something we hadn't done before and between us both, we've done some fantastic stuff!! We settled on running with the bulls in Spain, shook hands on it, and went back to drinking beer. The idea however, was planted firmly and neither of us even thought of backing out. Over the months we joked about it, seriously though, and as the months flew by we got busy. I found a guy on the internet who has run with the bulls 99 times! This year will be his 100th run! He's been the host of documentaries about Pamplona, he's even been close, probably closer than you or I would dare to get..😊, with Tara Reid who ran with the bulls for television a few years ago. His name is Graeme and he's our guide and overall professional party animal.

Through Graeme, Bish and I have secured an apartment from the 7th to the 15th and so far the details are that it is right in the middle of town, and, it's sits on top of a disco! I don't get much sleep in Tampa and there is no reason to get much in Pamplona either! This guy is the real deal, you can take a look at Pamplona Posse. Bish set us up with the flights, we wired the money to secure the room and basically we leave on the evening of the 6th, fly all night to get to Madrid, then we are catching a eurorail (5 hours!) to Pamplona.

So, the day is almost here and it's time to send out the email address to anybody who wants to follow our adventure. Look for it in your inbox this week!
