We're back treading water and try to keep up with ourselves. Hope you are all in the same pool with us......side note: the pool here at Tropical Palms wasn't heated for awhile...maybe it is now. I have no idea since we haven't ventured over there yet. Too cold! Lulu keeps putting on her bathing suit and blubbering when we don't take her over there for a dip. What a baby!

Instead, our friend, Dave Berry, had mentioned he and Linda were going to the Snowbird Extravaganza in Lakeland, Florida. Whaaaaaat? We have never heard about this....something new to investigate. Yippee. We quickly squeezed it in-between the lines of our bucket list. Wednesday was a rainy day and the perfect day to go to this new, undiscovered activity. Our faithful foursome followed the big highway trail to Lakeland. It was located at their monster size Lakeland Center. Mobs and mobs of Senior Citizens .....looked like an AARP convention. No ID necessary...just gray hair. It was in two mega halls filled with hundreds and hundreds of various booths advertising their products. Similar to the big RV show we went to in Tampa but these advertisers gave out even more freebies. Probably, the

main reason why all their older folks are here. Just like Halloween without candy....trinkets instead. We want helpful, fun treats! They also had numerous, various, continuous entertainment shows going on for everyone: ALL FREE! We enjoyed the country songs by Michele Wright. Sam became a TV star when he held an alligator.....interviewed and filmed. They probably thought he was a "bag-man" since we tend to hook all our goody bags all over his scooter. Thank heavens for his big battery or he would be riding on a stationary bike instead of his mobile scooter. Our bags were filled to the brim....what a fun day! Of course, Lulu had to stay in the car. No way to carry her plus all these big, heavy bags of freebies. Priorities, you know.

Thursday was even rainier than the day before. If we were in New York, we would be deluged with tons of snow if you converted this watery mess. But, the day ended on a bright note. Tropical Palms provided one of their free entertainment nights with snacks and drinks. The entertainer was a impersonator of various country singers. He said he did shows in Branson, Missouri. Okay. Our table of friends enjoyed the free drinks and snacks. The best part of these get-togethers are the meeting and enjoyment of friends from our park. I knew you were enjoying yourselves as you kept trolling up to the free bar. The rain was just a drizzle as we wandered...no staggering here...home. I wore my sandals so when I sloshed through the knee high puddles, I wouldn't get my socks wet. Not a problem for Lulu. No feet or legs!
