The Knapp Family Farewell

Suddenly, we are all alone. It is so quiet. We miss our family. Today, a second plane departed - this time with the Knapp family aboard. They had a safe trip home, landing in Elmira at 10:30 AM. A sigh of relief that it all went well....aaaahhhhh. It was such a joyous time when everyone was here. Yesterday, Cory, Jay & Ryan got some final golf shots off before packing away their golf clubs for several months. There was a tear in Cory's eye. Lory, Sara and I held down the fort at the RV. We fed the ducks and turtles with all of our left-over snacks. Two alligators showed their presence at the pond in the back of our park. Not even close to being like Gatorland but fun to see. Won't see anything like them for another year. Our "Last Supper" was at our favorite and faithful restaurant: the Ale House. Jay & Lory treated us to a delicious dinner in honor of our 49th anniversary (April 10th). Wow....49 years!! It seems like only yesterday when we eloped in Cory's MGA to North Carolina.....but that's another whole story. We must be as old as dirt. After plugging along at all the amusement parks here....I feel that I am that old. After dinner, we visited the condo unit that the Knapps have been staying in these past 3 days. It is called Floridays and was very nice. It is amazing the number of units that are in these complexes. No wonder the traffic is what it is here in this area if the units reflect the number of families that are staying here. Thousands upon thousands. Home will be so different. Home Sweet Home and together again with our family. More to look forward to....
