Jan at the condoIt always amazes me how wonderful it is to completely change climates in 3-4 hours of travel. What an unbelievable country! It was -4F when we got up Friday morning and when we arrived in Fort Lauderdale at 11:30 AM, it was 85!
This is our 6th annual winter getaway since my retirement when I promised Jan that if she could stand all the snowmobiling, I would take her away from the cold in the middle of the winter. This year it's Hawks Cay Resort on Duck Key about halfway through the Florida Keys.
2 days ago, we were fighting the Blizzard of 2011, shoveling and blowing 4-5' drifts out of our driveway with Heather. Here's a link to those pics:
Now......We just suck up the warmth and relax!

Sure rub it in. Airfares are so high! 600 plus, more like 700. So inviting, looks beautiful. Wish I was there!
