Tuesday 9/13/11 - National Zoo

Less than expected. Many exhibits were closed for renovation, no bears, no seals, no rhinos, no hippos, no giraffe, and several others were missing.
Invited Mike and Diane over for dinner of fried fish, fries, hushpuppies, and cole slaw. The bar was open and the bartender (Jumpin Jack) was really busy with the margaritas :-).
Also met Doris and her husband. They are from Arizona. Doris is a holocaust survivor and has written a book.
