A complex of short trails that visit waterfalls and water-sculpted gorges. This complex of short trails begins at the site of the old Weller Station on the original Independence Pass wagon road. Tolls were collected at this stage stop until it burned to the ground during the 1890s. The shortest, wheelchair-accessible trail visits thundering falls on the Roaring Fork. On the far bank of the river, the Old Stage Road leads upstream to Lincoln Creek, and an off shoot visits unique water-carved slots known locally as the Ice Caves

This is a popular area for picnicking and exploring. There is a waterfall, some interesting rock formations, an ice cave, and numerous short trails. This is a great area for families.

The main hiking trail crosses the bridge and heads to the left.
a)The easiest is 30 yards past the bridge on the right of the Old Stage Road. A picnic site is at the end near the river.
b)The intermediate trail is on the left just before the bridge. It is 200 yards long and follows the Roaring Fork River upstream. There is a picnic site at the end suitable for large groups.
c)The longest and most challenging trail is the Old Stage Road 100 yards past the bridge on the left. This is a scenic trail with a fishing dock and streamside picnic tables.

Directions: From Aspen, Drive nine miles east of Aspen on Highway 82. Continue driving past Weller Campground .9 miles to a sign marked "Trailhead" on the right. Turn here, drive about 200 feet to the parking area
