The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Finally got through Kansas, and caught the first glimpse of the Rockies. At first, you think you're seeing the mountains, but as majestic as they seem, they are only the foothills. After a few miles, the expansive vista opens up before your eyes. As many times as I've been out here, this never ceases to amaze me. This mountain range is one of the most spectacular sights on the face of the earth. It's not exactly the Himalaya, but then again, it's only a 4 hour flight, or a 24 hour drive away from Toronto. If you haven't been out here, do yourself a favour, and plan a trip. Anyway.....it's good to get out of the prairies and into the mountains. Skiing starts tomorrow. Staying in Boulder, CO for a night, then heading to Winter Park.
