Estes park is again a beautiful spot in the world. We got to camp and settled in early like we like to do. The drive up was wonderful and again around every corner was a new wonderful sight. It was the same mountainous terrain but yet different. It was more close up visual rock with some colors and more trees than we had at 11 mile. It almost seems more plush. The first day here was kind of cold and crappy so we decided to go to town and get Kathy a haircut. There was not one salon that had anything open so we walked over to a barbershop where we found a 87 year old barber. He said no way was he touching Kathy's hair so she said Greg get your haircut so it gets evened out. I wanted nothing to do with this but said OK. As I sit in the chair I feel like I am in a tilt a whirl as the barber moves me back and forth with his knee. I then hear Kathy say thin it out in the back a bit. She soon is laughing uncontrollably as I sit and wonder what is going
on. Now I know I am not the best looking person to start with but now I will be sporting my hats for the next few weeks till I can grow out what is left and get someone to fix this head of hair, LOL. After this we now go up through the park on Trail Ridge Trail that goes through the park and over to Grand Lake. That was a nice ride with more great views. We didn't take too many pictures, well you know why, LOL. We decided to go another way home so we went to Black Hawk, Colorado yep another Casino town. We had a sandwich here gambled for just a few minutes before heading back home. It was great drive but getting late now. Today is the 4th of July so we start by getting on the Bike once more and take a wonderful ride over to Boulder through the mountains, over to Long Mount then to Boulder. Here we found BJ's Brew House, we stopped for a appetizer and a few beers before heading back home. Good thing we left when we did, we got wet just outside of Boulder for 10-15 minutes and
dried by the time we got home. Kathy is not a fan of riding in rain so my job is to keep her dry on the bike and get her home before dark, at least when we are in the mountains. We watch the fireworks from camp in between the rain drops and watch the cold crappy weather settle in and we think to ourselves do we really want to be in the rain? The 5th we go back to Boulder VIA truck because of rain. We found a nice Mexican restaurant after yet another beautiful, different drive. We enjoy a beer and some appetizers before finding Kathy a haircut. We finally found a wonderful women that knows how to cut hair so Kathy got her hair cut and then I got mine fixed immediately after. I made Kathy go first just in case. Then after a nice manicure and pedicure we head back to camp for a cocktail. It still is raining cold and crappy but when the hail came again I looked at Kathy and said this is ridiculous, We have a portable home lets roll, She said where will we go? The answer was simple we will
go where it is warm and no rain. So we packed our things loaded the camper and headed for Albuquerque, New Mexico.
