We had a nice breakfast then took the shuttle to the airport. Our driver was a small, Hispanic lady who doubled as the cook. Once at the airport, we located our Southwest gate and figured out our post position for boarding, We had easy boarding and good seats near the front of the plane. Guess the extra $10.00 we paid Southwest for advance boarding worked in our favor as it was a full flight. There are no assigned seats. It is first come, first served.
After 4.5 hours, we arrived in Los Angles. We spent the next two hours at the airport because the shuttle couldn’t find us. It seems there were two red signs to stand under. We chose one red sign and driver chose the other red sign.
We are spending the night at the Holiday Inn Express in Hawthorne, a bit south of LA airport. It is quite adequate and is actually cheaper then the The Country Inn and Suites, our hotel in Nashville.
Finished the day with a meal at Rudy's International Cuisine, Hawthorne, CA.
