The Amargosa Hotel - both the opera house and the hotel were constructed in the 1920s by the Pacific Borax Mining company, who built the town to accommodate its mine workers this structure included a hospital and a morgue abandoned in the 50's and vacant. The current property owner took over in the late 60′ since, the property has been owned by Ms. Marta Becket, a artistt and dancer, who gave up life in the New York to practice her artistic expression in Death Valley Junction
This property has had numerious claims of paranormal activity and has been recently featured on the Travel Channel as one of the top 10 places in the USA for paranormal activity.
