Planning for our trip to the Midwest

Hello to friends and family,

On May 10th, Leigh and I are beginning a road trip across the Western United States to visit our relatives in the heartland of Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota. Along the way we plan to enjoy and photograph the "spacious skies and amber waves of grain and the purple mountains majesty above the fruited plain". For much of the trip we will be car camping. We've picked up a lot of camping equipment which we hope will all fit into our little Toyota. We plan to take lots of photos and upload our favorites on this blog.

We hope you enjoy stories and pictures of our travels. We'd love hearing from you as we travel across the landscape.
