Almost Tjuana

This adventure to almost Mexico could not come at a better time. Chilliwack has been placed right in the middle of winter. The day we left for Vancouver was only less ugly than the proceeding weeks. In Pilot speak we use CAVOK which designates the Ceiling And Visibility are OKay. We were something like CAVCrap

The ride to San Diego was with Jazz , which is who my son flies for. An RJ90 with only 4 seats available , two of them in Executive Class which we were assigned.

Chilean Cab Sauvignon and a Canadian for Kate.

Easy Peasy flight, 3 hours and arrival in SAN , which is a small airport, right on the coast , just almost within the downtown core

A little cooler than we had hoped for , but okay.

The City Bus ride into the Gaslamp District cost us $1.10 each , as ,I hate to admit it, we are now both seniors.

The Hostel we are staying in was originally a Cat House. Very funky.

Out for a walkabout in the entertainment area and a cheap Corona and burger for me at a nice pub. Kate had a Corona and hot dog.





Tijuana tomorrow with a tour the Hostel manager is setting up.
