Well, we left phoenix on Saturday morning and made our way to I-40. We left I-40 and got onto Route 66. We went through several small towns that still survive there. We stopped in Seligman and had lunch at the Roadrunner Café. They had tons of stuff and pictures on Route 66 from the old days. We spent the night in Barstow and left the next morning for home. It started raining near Modesto and rained most of the way home. Wouldn't you know it! It rains on our F1 race weekend and on our way home. Anyway, we drove 5246 miles, averaged 53.2 mph and got 24.6 mpg for the whole trip.Thanks to everyone who sent comments about the trip, we love them! Next year, Germany.
