Today is a travel day. All day. Right now we're sitting at gate 44 waiting to leave for Minneapolis at 12:35pm, about an hour from now. Last night at thanksgiving we were telling everyone about using our Clipper cards tomorrow for our BART ride to SFO. That's when Milan offered to take us for bridge toll only. Mmmmm? Ok. It sounds easy. At home, Mom was still trying to get more stuff into her 50# bags without adding any weight. Huh? They were supposed to be only half full to allow room for expansion while traveling. That's not happening. That expansion has already taken place.

At 9:10am, our chauffeur arrives. Mom checks last minute stuff: passports, boarding passes, medicines. Let's go. It was a pleasant and uneventful ride to the airport. Milan dropped us off at Delta and we checked our bags using our Sky Priority check in. A breeze. Time for tuna sandwich and coffee while we wait a couple of hours. We leave SFO at 12:35 on a flight just over 3 hours and it's full.

Three and one half hours later and we're in Minneapolis and we have snow. 19 degrees. We could see it from the plane. We disembark the plane and head for G6, the international terminal. It's a long walk but we have time. It's like a mall here. Lots of stores, but who goes to an airport to shop?
We hang out here eating some snacks we brought from home, waiting 45 minutes to board. Now this plane is nice. Just two seats for us by the window and even more room. Yes, I think I will have a glass of Merlot. Mom likes this.

It looks like the end of our day for now. I know it's not much to share but hey, we're just sitting on an airplane for 13 hours. How exciting can it be? Anyway, at 1:30am in the morning we get off this thing in Amsterdam with just a couple hours of sleep I'm sure. It will be 10:30am there. Nine hours difference ahead of California from now on. So we start our first day totally exhausted. Mom gave up watching "The Walking Dead" and she's asleep so I'm going to try myself. We'll both be "Walking Dead" tomorrow.

Looks like a lot of luggage for 3 weeks... :-). I hope you arrive safe and have a great time. Make sure you keep posting pictures.. Love the pictures.. Let us know when you make it there and that everything is ok.. Queen :-)
