San Fran
San Fran So after both me Kerri had an early night by hitting the sack at 11 last night and so we ended up getting up just after 10am and i have to say Kerri's blow up mattress is quite comfortable and i jumped on the computer and finished off yesterdays blog entry and uploaded some pics, Kerri was suppose to be working today but called in sick.....lol.
After some faffing about we got out the apartment 15 mins quicker than yesterday......lol, first stop was the Golden Gate bridge and the rain was bucketing it down and if anything i thing it was worse than yesterday and Kerri blamed me and said id brought this crap weather with me from the UK, i insisted i hadn't and infact it had been hot and sunny in Phoenix.
When we got to the bridge we parked up in the view point car park which over looks the bridge and Point Fort (an old millitary base) and we walked over to the gift shop and it was full over the usual tourist tat...lol, we took some pics from the view point and we then walked to about halfway and decided to come back as
San Fran
San Fran it was so wet and we got back to the car park my camera had steamed up, we nipped into a cafe at the car park and had hot cholate which Kerri treated me too. Kerri then drove me over to North beach for the Alcatraz ferry and showed me from the car pier 39 which is a cool area and then i got out to get the ferry and Kerri went to get grocerys for the Austraila day meal she has planned for tomorrow. just a side note it takes about 45 mins one way to walk the Golden Gate bridge.
I went and got the ticket and ferry for Alcatraz and the were loads of people even though the weather was so poor, by now i was pretty wet after the golden gate and it would get worse. I got chatting on the boat to a japenese lad and two brazilan guys which was cool and i took some pics on the way over and was a rain mist round most of the city etc bringing visibility down. Its $24 to go over to the island and this includes an audio tour, we got to island dismembarked
San Fran
San Fran into the rain which had gotten heavier and i looked in the shop and videos and stuff in the lower area and then made my way up the hill pass the prisoner officers quarters and morgue etc and upto the prison, Alcatraz started life as an army fort.
I went up to the main prison and got the audio tour headphones and player (they dont make you look sexy...lol) and headed along through the cells and areas and the tour is voiced by ex guards and ex prisoners and it gives it the right atmosphere and it would have be awful to be locked up there, the was information on the various escape attempts. I aslo learnt about the late 60's peaceful Indian occupation of the island, in the end i was cold and wet and on the last ferry back.
I called kerri and she met me off the ferry and we drove up to Coit tower and went up it which was $4 and the views would be have been good if the weather was better and then went through the Italian quarter and the are Italian flags painted on the lamposts and then we went
San Fran
San Fran through the China town and the is a big population of Chinese in San fran due to the Chinese who worked on the railroads many years ago.
The cable cars are due to the fact too many horse died due to gravity forcing there carriages to fall on them and then we went to the famous city lights bookstore it reminded me of the book shop in youve got mail and then we went to versus and had a beer.
We then headed back to kerri's and she told me about the fortune cookie factorie which is on an alley in China town and you can see them making them and you can eat the ones that go wrong, we got back to Kerri's and she made grilled cheese sandwiches and had some beer and then we went to meet Abb's who is a Couchsurfer and friend of kerri's and is staying for the weekend, she is spanish and currently living in LA.
We got back to the apartment and chatted and both Kerri and Abb's are bi-sexual and wanted to go to a lesbian bar and that was fine by me as i like to think
San Fran
San Fran im open minded, we got there and it was a cool chilled out bar and Kerri was drooling over one of the bar maids she thought was cute. Before went out of the apartment Kerri had put on this top which said i love my vagina and the girls did not think i would wear it to the bar and well i like a laugh so i wore it out and it meant i had various lebians chatting to me so it was a laugh.
We then headed to castro which is the gay area and went to a bar there and carried on drinking and by that stage Kerri was very drunk and had decided to take her top off....lol, i had a few gay guys try to hit on me which was funny, we then got a taxi back to Kerri's and me and Abb's helped Kerri into her bed and me Abb's had pizza.
A little later on Abb's disappeared into Kerri's room and needless to say they kept me up with some bedroom noises, although what two bi-girls get up i will leave to your imagination as maybe they were just choosing where to
