Day 1: Arriving in beautiful San Diego

Day 1 was a crazy adventure. We left super early in the morning to catch the train to the airport but it would only take us so far since Dallas has a horrible bus system that is slowly expanding its destinations. My car was out of commission so we had to take this route; we did not want to bother people by catching a ride. Since it was Sunday, we could only go so far and so we took a cab the rest of the way. We flew from DFW to SAN and once we arrived we caught the Budget shuttle to the rental center where we proceeded to rent a Nissan Versa. It was a nice white car that drove well. We checked into our hotel-the Holiday Inn in Mission Beach which was newly renovated and had luxurious rooms. We headed onto Chili's where we had a great lunch. The service at Chili's and all throughout San Diego is amazing! Everyone is super friendly and smiling alot! Anyways, from there we decided to head out to Mission Beach to check out the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous! I love the beach so much.
