Kate here again...

Just checking in to give a shout out to our blog peeps.

We don't have any new pictures just yet, though we took a few down at the beach at the mouth of the Mattole River. The dogs enjoyed the ocean very much. We've been relaxing at my Mom's house, and I've been showing Shay around the area where I grew up here in Southern Humboldt. Today we carried a half-dozen pieces of plywood flooring into the house for my Mom. Woohoo fun.

This weekend is the annual 4th of July BBQ (not always observed exactly on the 4th of July) at the Mattole Grange. Mmmm mmm good bbq beef roasts and slow-cooked beans. We're going to depart for our 4 day backpacking trip on the Lost Coast on Weds July 5th.

We continue to have a fun and relaxing time.
