First day in LA

We arrived in Los Angeles at around 3:30pm, picked up our sky blue PT Cruiser from car rental and headed for Santa Monica Pier. We took a walk around Santa Monica and then a stroll on the pier including a ride on the ferris wheel.
after that we headed for the hotel (the "Good NIte Inn") near Burbank and will be here two nights as a base to go to Santa Barbara and Magic Mountain". The weather is fantastic here in LA - mid 20's and clear skys.
